Quilting 101

We are expecting a little grandson in July! His name is Eli, son of Scott and Jessica.

I thought this would be a good time to learn how to quilt so that I could make a baby quilt for the little one. My friend and teaching colleague has taken me under her quilting wing and is making it lots of fun. She is, thankfully, full of patience and grace.

Scott and Jessica wanted brown and blue, so that is what it is. Here are the first two of four central squares, each 12" square. If there has to be a grade on it, I hope it’s for effort!
